Vi har funnet en oppskrift på mjød, som må testes ut etterhvert........
The ingredients of the recipe are mead to 5 liters of liquid, but can be adapted by'
calculating the ratios.
4L of water
1L honey
25 G yeast (yeast or baker's yeast, one can use both together)
Juice of one lemon
Juice of an orange
Tea Bag Black
--
Steps :
1º - Boil the water to remove the chlorine residuals.
2º - Take half the water (2L) and leave on high heat. Take the other side of the fire and
leave separately.
3º - In the half that is on fire, add any honey, juices and tea bag. Keep stirring until
realizing that will boil, lower the heat and leave there for 1 hour, stir in the first 30
minutes and then let the rest of the time there to form a layer on the surface.
4º - After 1 hour, remove this layer that formed and discard. Take the bag and everything
you can remove
5º - Add half the water that was separate and mix
6º - Add the yeast and store in a container that can be sealed with a lid (a great way to
save the mead is in a bottle of wine 4.6 L). Put an air-lock lid in place (Air-Lock is a
system which allows air to exit but not enter).
7º - Let fermenting one to two weeks in dark place.
8º - After the period of fermentation, strain the liquid, taking everything in background,
bottle it in bottles which are more convenient and refrigerate for at least 3 months. If you
want, you can sample his work in this period.
Observation :
- This is an alcoholic drink, only to be consumed by over 18 years.
- The alcohol content of the beverage is approximately 18%, but may vary in accordance
with the honey and the yeast you use.
